2. What is The Tolkien Encyclopedia? It is a collection of articles and information on topics pertaining to the life, thought, and work of J. R. R. Tolkien.
3. What is FMI Publishing? FMI Publishing was started by Donavan Hall in November of 1992. His idea was to start a free electronic publishing house. Trevor Austin joined Hall in 1994 and The New World Reader was born. Austin has directed The New World Reader for the last year. Hall has recently teamed up with Walker Percy scholar, Henry Mills, to bring a The Society for the Advancement of Creative Scientific Thinking to the WWW. Jack Lang joined FMI in the summer of 1995 to launch The Tolkien Encyclopedia (with a little help from his friends).
